Big Data Developer - Scala

• Develop and maintain Scala-based applications and services.
• Handle big data processing using Hadoop and Spark frameworks.
• Create high-performance algorithms and predictive models.
• Work closely with the Analytics team to identify opportunities for system enhancements.
• Ensure data security and privacy compliance.
• Conduct system testing and troubleshooting.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve project goals.

A successful Big Data Developer should have:
• A degree in Computer Science, Telecommunitacions or a related field.
• Strong proficiency in Scala and Big Data technologies such as Hadoop and Spark.

• ETL´s.
• Experinece working with GCP (BigQuery, DataProc, Kubernetes) and/or Azure (Databricks, Azure Pipelines).
• Databases (PostgreSQL, BigQuery, Azure Data Explorer).
• Experience in developing high-performance algorithms and predictive models.
• Knowledge of data security and privacy regulations.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Fluency in English is a must (B2-C1). You will join an international team and work in English. (Spanish not need it).


Nice to have:
• Experience working with Python/PySpark, Airflow, UNIX Shell Scripting, AWS (EMR, Presto, EKS).
• Experience working with Flink.
• Experience working with Hortonworks/Cloudera.
• Very valuable to have experience working in Tier1 or Telco companies.
• Experiences as a Tech Lead.
