Frontend Developer

Are you an enthusiastic individual with around 3 years Front End Web Development experience who is keen to get stuck in and grow their responsibility within a creative team?

The role:

As part of a scaleup company, your role will encompass the entire software development life cycle, including requirements capture, prototyping, design, development, testing, deployment and maintenance.

The role includes development, support, maintenance and monitoring of the JavaScript web client. There will be plenty of opportunities to research and develop solutions using new technologies, languages and design patterns.

This client is looking for someone who won´t be afraid to rip their existing product apart and suggest how they can make it better! You´ll be confident in your abilities to shape a platform with hundreds-of-thousands of users and will be self-motivated.

You´ll become an integral member of the web team, which owns and shapes the web client, ensuring it’s on a level playing field with their mobile clients.

Day to day, you´ll be responsible for the hands-on development in HTML5/CSS/JS/Node.js and will work as part of a team, understanding requirements from different groups within the business including UX, Creative and Backend colleagues.

Requirements:

-Strong JavaScript, HTML5 and CSS3 development and able to write clean, robust, well-structured, object-oriented code.
-An expert in a modern JavaScript framework such as Angular, React, Vue.
-Proficient with modern CSS e.g., Flexbox, CSSGrid and Cross browser compatibility.
-An ongoing interest in staying up to date with the evolution of the web platform (ES6+, Web Components, etc).
-Experienced in designing and developing for responsive / mobile platforms.
-An understanding of REST based API design and development would be a bonus along with a familiarity with Agile / Scrum development practices.

You will work from your home in Spain and travel to the UK every 2/3 months to work with the development team.
